If you click Tools>Options, there is a Mail Format tab on the dialog.  The
first option is Message Format.  Choose an alternative in the drop down.
For example, you can choose Outlook Rich Text or even Plain Text.

(Note:  This is in Outlook 98.  If you are using an older version then the
navigation may be a little different.  I just don't remember.  There is
still an option to change the default mail format no matter which flavor of
Outlook you are using.  Enjoy!)

How do you disable the html option?  We are using Microsoft Outlook and
EVERYONE complains about receiving messages.  There has to be a way...
