Hello list members--

I'm looking to put together a comprehensive list of books, articles,
opinions on the use and care of industrial artifacts and the like. In my
case, the objects in question are bronze cannons, but of course I want to
cover the range of tools, machines, vehicles, weapons, etc. that might be
covered under the rubric of "industrial artifacts." Functions of
collecting, preserving, interpreting, displaying, and studying, plus use
vs. non-use, and any other pertinent ideas, are all fair game.

So, what are your favorite sources on this topic? Your ideas are much
appreciated in advance; I will summarize responses for the list if
interest is apparent.
