I have been doing research on web museums.I noticed a few years ago that
there were many "web museums" that were little more than a virtual gift
shop. This phenomenon has decreased as more museums create elaborate
on-line sites. Are there still examples of museums that have little more
than virtual gift shops? Any pointers towards these sites would be
appreciated.

Thanks,
M. White
