     The Old Capitol Museum of Mississippi History (formerly the State
Historical Museum), Jackson, Mississippi, accredited since 1972, seeks a
Curator of Collections to manage the collections and all
collections-related activities, plans, budgets, and staff. The Museum
has undertaken an ambitious series of renovation/expansion projects and
the Curator of Collections will oversee the renovation of storage and
the relocation of the collection, and play a key role in the development
of permanent and temporary exhibitions in a new facility and the
restored Old Capitol. Candidates should be knowledgeable in collections
care and management and exhibition development and have excellent
project planning and implementation skills. Requirements include M.A. or
B.A. in related field and solid professional collections management and
administrative experience. Beginning annual salary is $21,267.96, not
