A "Curriculum Vitae" or "C.V." and a "Resume" are exactly the same!  The
first is Latin (and can be freely translated as "story of life") and is
the usual term in all English speaking countries outside N. America (and
in some US academic institutions);  the second was originally French,
(though it seems to have very effectively colonised the USA nowadays).

The University of Wolverhampton (UK) has a very useful guide to C.V.
