"REEL PRESERVATION: Preserving Moving Image Materials."
The Los Angeles Preservation Network (LAPNet) presents a one-day symposium at the Autry Museum of Western Heritage, Los Angeles on Monday, May 4, 1998 on identifying, handling, storing, cataloging and preserving moving image materials.
The symposium is designed for collection curators, conservators, collection managers, librarians, archivists, museum personnel and all who have responsibility for the access and preservation of moving image materials.
Speakers include Scott Curtis (Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences), Michael Friend (AMPAS), Henry Matoon (National Moving Image Database), Lon Sobel (Entertainment Law Reporter; UCLA School of Law); Dan Einstein (UCLA Film & Television Archive); Bob Gitt (UCLA Film & Television Archive); Marsha Kinder (USC School of Cinema-Television); Richard May (Warner Bros.).
