The Ringling Museum of Art has had SNAP! for some time though is only just now
starting to use it. The latest version allows you to scan in a thumbnail
image which was a big plus for us. Customization of pages and fields was
available in the older version though it was very difficult to figure out how
to do so. For the most part the customization comes down to re-naming
existing fields and you cannot add whole new screens/pages. While we use
SNAP! for the entire museum collection files. We do continue to use Access
for smaller projects and collections, including our archival collections.
Curiously, while SNAP! is based on Access, there is not yet a way to transfer
our Access dbs into SNAP!

I have forwarded your message to our Registrar who is currently working on the
collection management. Good luck.
