I assume you are familiar with Joyce Hill Stoner's excellent article,
"Conservation Center Stage" in _Museum News_,  May-June 1997.  This should help
with many of your questions.

Regarding recent develpments, if you haven't yet done so, you must talk with

"Investigating the Renaissance" web site

kiosk in their gallery.
