I've mentioned this here before, but in light of the discussion
I'll digress.
I've used Access and I've used the aptly named Paradox. For my
money, and time, the best desktop relational database by far is 4th
Dimension. It's intuitive, easy to use, infinitely expandable and includes
versitile graphing and wordprocessing/report producing capabilities. I've
used it to inventory a 750,000 piece collection and produce summary
reports and inventories for NAGPRA compliance. Tops!
