About the Editor
James P. Delgado is executive director of the Vancouver Maritime Museum,
Canada. He is the author of 14 books and numerous articles in
professional and popular journals on maritime history and underwater
archaeology, including Shipwrecks at the Golden Gate, To California by
Sea: A Maritime History of the California Gold Rush, and Great American
Ships. Trained as both an archaeologist and a historian, Delgado has
participated in or led archaeological projects around the world.
