Well, if it is any help, I know of three people in my small circle
of acquaintance who applied for jobs they saw advertised on museum-l
and got them.  So, most of the announcements seem legitimate.
Sometimes jobs open for only two weeks indicate a person is needed
very badly rather than that the position is actually already de facto
filled.
