I  once went through a program (40+ if I might reveal my age) that
advised never to give a salary history.  Most employers will still look
at your qualifications without it; some will trash you immediately.  You
don't want to work for them anyway.

Salaries can be negotiated within a stated range and if they want you
bad enough they can up the range.
