Thank you all for your thoughtful discussion; it is interesting how
passionately we seem to care about putting things into neat categories.
The consensus seems to be that Tarot cards should be classified as
ceremonial objects.  On reviewing "Nomenclature," I see that it has
*trick-or-treat bags* classed as ceremonial, too . . . it's an
interesting world, isn't it?
