I am doing a project for an upper year art history course at University
in Renaissance Studies and I would like some information about the
restoration, conservation of frescoes from this period. What kind of
funding is available for that sort of restoration project, and where does
the funds come from? What are the issues regarding visible vs. invisible
restoration? Would the restoration be done by a private company, or a
museum or university program? Or would it be part of a public works
project, or all of the above? If anyone could direct me to sources in
print or on the internet I would really appreciate it. Also if anyone has
personal experience restoring frescoes and would like to speak to me
directly that would be great too!

Thanks in advance
