The Minneapolis Institute of Arts seeks a person to assist the Registrar and the Associate Registrar with the care and maintenance of the permanent collections and loans, and with the implementation of related policies, systems and procedures.  Catalogues museum's permanent collections and incoming objects; effects the movement of works of art within and outside the museum; maintains records on works of art belonging to and on loan to the museum. Coordinates the receipt of works of art to be purchased or accepted as gifts, including packing, shipping, customs, insurance and issues legal documents such as loan receipts, loan agreements, deed of gift forms, and condition reports.  Oversees exhibitions as needed.  Qualifications include MA in Art History or Museum Studies or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1-2 years in a museum registration department or related experience.  Strong organizational skills and ability to handle details; strong written and verbal skills.  Demonstrated proficiency with word processing/PCS including familiarity with database programs; typing 50 wpm.  Salary mid-20's.
