An excellent resource for information about the restoration of train
cars is Fred Bennett, who runs the Trolley Barn restoration project at
the San Jose Historical Museum. He and a crew of volunteers have been
restoring related vehicles daily for many years. They don't have email,
but try calling 408 287-2290. He's a wealth of knowledge.
