I am writing an article for ART CALENDAR magazine about the policy of
paying or not paying artists a fee to exhibit their work in museums and
other non profit galleries and art centers. I know that most in the
U.S. expect to pay musicians and other performers but not usually visual

artists. I have heard that there is a national policy in Canada which
says that all artists are paid a set fee for exhibiting their work.
Would anyone care to comment on this ??? What's the policy in your
museum or art center? Thank you for your help. You may reply directly
to me at <[log in to unmask]> or reply on the discussion list.
