This message is directed to any maritime museum subscribers
that may be on the list.
We are preparing a new show for the National Air and Space Museum's
Einstein Planetarium, and we are looking for good quality color
photos of a variety of marine navigation instruments. The show
is about celestial navigiation, and the instruments we need photos
of are; sextant, magnetic compass, and several chronometers. We also
need photos of ship's logs (the log books, not the speed device), and
maps of Antarctica dating from 1900-1910. The instruments can be
fairly contemporary, i.e., 20th century.
Please respond to me off-line at: [log in to unmask]
Thanks,
Fred Engle
