look at the California Heritage Digital Image Accesss Project. It is a
collection of 25,000 digital representations of primary source materials
documenting California history. It includes a large selection of
photographs of early California by photographers such as Carleton E.
Watkins, Eadweard Muybridge, I.W. Taber and many others.
