Radio Shack has a couple of different types of infrared sensors.  I
would not recommend Cat. No. 49-551A as I have had a lot of trouble with
that one recently.  On the other hand, they make a larger one which has
worked well for me.  I don't have the catalog number for this one but
installed three of them over five years ago and all are still working
fine.
