Dear Jodi Gronborg:
Who is whining? I am expressing my opinion on the use of this listserve-
which is within my right to do so. I find it a dangerous precedent when
people express opinions on museum-L (which is one of the purposes of
museum-L) and are labelled whiners. For people to have differing opinions
on various museum related subjects is part of the process and is a good
quality. Museum-L would be pretty boring if we all held the same feelings
and opinions on every subject.
(To clarify my position, I obviously don't mind if listers use Museum-L for
museum related information and work- including looking for a place to stay
or live, but it wasn't clear if this apartment inquiry was just someone
looking for a place and thought they would use museum-L, or if it was a
museum work related move. I don't want to split hairs, but this still
isn't Apartment-L.)

This isn't Whiners-L either.
I originally had but one message to delete - the request for assistance.
(Have you ever tried to find temporary housing in Manhattan?!)
Now I've had to delete all the complaints about that message as well.
Please stop it and discuss something more worthwhile.

I agree with AW and Mr. Phillips- This isn't Apartment-L. I sincerely
hope everyone out there who is currently looking for a place to live is
successful, but there must be other forums for this type of inquiry.
