The only windows in our public spaces open onto our new discovery room - a
"hands-on" area for the whole family, but aimed primarily at children. We
wanted to keep it bright. It is divided from a small art gallery by a wall
which is end to end, floor to ceiling, glass, with glass doors. To limit the UV
entering the gallery, we coated the glass wall and doors with a film which
filters out, we are told, 96% of the UV. It does have the effect of darkening
the glass, but not so much that people can't see all the interesting and
attractive things inside the discovery room. The film has stood up well and the
discovery room fairly packs 'em in, so we are content.
