I have just returned from Ottawa and the excellent conference: Textile
Symposium '97 - Fabric of an Exhibition, which was organized by the Canadian
Conservation Institute.  One of the speakers at the conference was Cara
Varnell from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.  She presented her
experiences with the conservation of edutainment artifacts and her work with
the people at Disney.  I don't have an email address for her, but you can
contact her in the textile conservation lab at LACMA in Los Angeles.

Good luck with your thesis Danielle.  It's a very timely topic!
