DIRECTOR, RESEARCH
NYC research and policy organization, with a focus on science and
engineering education, seeks world-class scholar to conduct and publish
studies for the academic, industry and government communities.  The research
director develops and manages long-term research agenda and the critical
analyses of trends in engineering and science enrollment, graduation,
retention, employment and career advancement; determines policy implications
and disseminates results.  Requirements include a Ph.D. in one of the social
sciences; a Ph.D. in a natural science or engineering with social science
research experience will be considered); demonstrated record of achievement
in research and successful grant proposal preparation; excellent written and
oral communications; and effective team leadership and management skills.

DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION
NYC museum seeks Director of Education with extensive experience in program
development, administration and staff supervision.  Responsible for
educational programs including tours and workshops, community school
programs, artist-in-residence and internship programs, docent and volunteer
programs, lectures, etc.  Assist in preparation of funding proposals and
budgets.  Supervise education staff, interns and volunteers. EOE strongly

create, and produce educational and sophisticated art and cultural programs
for museum groups, art associations, corporations, universities, and

required.  Familiarity with general office skills, including computers, fax,
and copying machine, as well as some bookkeeping, including invoicing and

of 50,000 photographs.  Previous archival experience, photography

high-end custom residential design.  The architect will be responsible for
project management and construction document production.  
 
Qualifications:
 
Five (5) years work experience required.  Knowledge of custom window/wall
systems; cabinetry; wood frame, stone, barn, and timber frame construction
with a strong emphasis on traditional and innovative detailing essential.
Working knowledge of AutoCad Release 14.0 preferable.  Excellent hand
drawing skills for design presentation sketches and detail drawings necessary.

LICENSED ARCHITECT
NYC architecture firm seeks Licensed Architect to draft and produce Building
Department approved projects.  This position requires a knowledge of
building codes and city zoning requirements as well as heavy contact with
clients and city agencies. Experience hand drafting and CADD essential.

Programs to be involved in all aspects of the museum including exhibition
development, public and educational programming, and publications.
Decisions will be made in a creative team process with the Director of
Public Programs acting as a senior manager and contributor.  The Director of
Public Programs will be responsible for the consistency, accuracy, and
scholarly integrity of all of the museum’s programs and supporting products,
publications, and materials. 
 
Qualifications: 

Demonstrated breadth of expertise and reputation in popular music and
culture through having published books and articles in leading journals
and/or having taught courses at the university level.  Experience developing
public and educational programming for music and performing arts
organizations.  Knowledge of exhibition design a plus.
