Jan Bernstein at the University of Denver Museum of Anthropology is
organizing a session for AAM (sponsored by the RC, of course) on visible
storage.  It will include speakers from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and
the Museum of Anthropology at UBC.  Jan can be reached at 303 871-3543 for
more information (I think she did her thesis on visible storage).
