Unfortunately, it seems that the whole world (except the graphic arts
industry and a large chunk of the Worldwide Web) has standardized on
Wintel machines (translation: WINdows + INTEL = Wintel). I am assistant
director at a National Trust property, and although I have found my
Macintosh machines to be very reliable, flexible tools which have been a
joy to use and which allowed my creativity (what little I have) to show
through, I find myself writing an RFP for eleven Wintel machines and a
Windows NT server. This is what business seems to demand, and that's
what I'm going to have to provide for my staff. It's a cruel, illogical
world.

P.S.—I'm still going to use my Power Computing Powerbase 180 (MacOS).
I'll just run SoftWindows or Virtual PC if I need to see what my staff
is doing.
