Community Programs Manager: Position open immediately in division of
Community Programs at the Missouri Historical Society in St. Louis.
Provide leadership and coordination for MHS Community Programs team
which is responsible for developing public programs.  Coordinate MHS
theatrical programs.  Supervises public program coordinators, and
volunteers and interns as assigned. Assists division director with
administrative duties including monitoring division budget and grant
writing. Masters degree in history, education, American studies,
museum studies or related field.  Experience working in museum
education, museum theater and/or public programming may be substituted
for masters degree providing candidate holds a related bachelors
degree.  Applicants should have demonstrated organizational,
programming, supervisory, and administrative ability.  Experience with
program development and coordination, supervising staff, budgeting,
and grant writing.  Ability to work with team approach to program
planning.  Superior communication, writing, and public speaking
skills.  Knowledge of the history of St. Louis and Missouri, and/or
museum theater experience preferred. Salary Range:  $30,000 - $32,000
