The Shedd Aquarium is planning a serious of new exhibits on regional habitats.  As part of the research and development process, we are planning to send our designers, exhibit developers, and lead aquarists to the regions of the world our exhibits will cover, so they may experience the environments first-hand.

I'd like to hear from any other institutions -- museums as well as zoos and aquaria -- which have sponsored similar trips for exhibit teams.  If your institution has done this, or if you know of an institution that has, please let me know.  Thanks!
