The Louis Cotinat collection is one of the most important European private
collections of earthenware and pharmaceutical objects .
Louis Cortinat , a Parisian pharmacist from 1914 to 1996, gathered more
than 200
items of a very rare quality .This collection displays his huge
encyclopaedic
curiosity about ceramics and his strict sense of quality and exhaustivity .
All great French and Italian ceramics centres from the 16th and 18thare
present in
the collection . Among the most remarkable items is the famous Toscan
Arbarello
vase
made around 1500 as well as some pots attributed to the Daniel Ollivier
workshop
in Montpellier , France , aroud 1600 .
