Well here's an interesting twist!  True, the S doesn't stand for anything,
but I checked a piece of letterhead I have here from the Harry S. Truman
Library and they add a period behind the S!  If the Truman Library does it,
I suppose it can't be an unforgivable sin.  :-)  Maybe they got sick of
people telling them they forgot the period behind the "S".
