Jennifer,
At the nature center where I work we have several exhibits which have
braille signs. We also have braille texts (which may be borrowed) to
enhance our vision impaired visitors' experiences of several exhibits.
The brailled exhibits include our outdoor display of herbs and native
plants and a "touch game" where objects can be felt but not seen.
The signs are produced for us by a sighted volunteer who has a
braille machine. She has to redo them every year because they do
take a beating. Although we don't have many visitors who need to
take advantage of these signs they are always greatly appreciated by
those who do.
You might want to contact a local organization for the blind to see
if anyone is able and/or willing to do the signs for you at no cost.
