Live plants are a NO.  They can harbor little critters that can start an
infestation.
In fact, live plants around the museum structure is not desired.  A
preferred method is a barrier between the building and the sod and other
plant material.
A regular pest management program needs to be in place and constant
inspection for those little critters.
