Dear Patrick,
You should try the below websites and the Search engine called Excite.

Virtual Libray Museum Page/ Patrick Bowen of University of Reading, UK
http://www.icom.org/vlmp/....................Please refer to Antony F Anderson
' s post of June 13, 1997 as well.

The Guide to Museums and Cultural Resources/ Natural History Museum of Los Ang
eles County: Los Angeles, CA

If you and your machine can read Japanese, try "URL shu-zo-ko"/ Kobe City Muse
um. This is a good directory of Japanese museums who have websites on the net.
http://www.bekkoame.or.jp/~asuka/ujs.html

The Search Engine 'Excite' is a good tool for finding websites which cannot be
 found on above websites.
Constantly, new websites are added to the 'Excite' stock and each entry has ab
out 60 word summary, which I find very useful.
For instance, you can get over 460,000 hits from 'Excite' by searching the ter
m 'Children's Museum'.
The latest entries come first with ten bunches each per scroll. Some entries h
ave links to their own URL.
Some just give the address of their postal, website address, or just tel/ fax
numbers.

It would be a benefit for everyone, if you can retrieve your finding the metho
ds of track the websites of museums in the world to the Museum-L.

You should also try the archives of this Museum-L by using the Lsoft.

Yours truly,
