If the chest is from the Spanish Southwest (northern New Spain), I
would suggest contacting the Museum of New Mexico, Box 2087, Santa
Fe, New Mexico 87503. They have a large collection of furniture from
that area. If it is from Spain, I would suggest the Hispanic Society of
