I am sorry that you and your curator are suffering through this ordeal.
As we all know, exhibitions have become are targets for strong reactions
from one group or another.  While we need to be aware of our audiences,
we also must be careful of taking the path of self-censorship.

We live in a democracy.  Colleges and universities should be especially
open to the free flow of ideas.  Academic freedom must apply to speech,
books and exhibitions in equal measure.

Opportunities to offend are endless.  We cannot hide; we must proceed
with integrity.
