Hyatt Regency, Union Station
St. Louis, Missouri USA

Make plans now to join colleagues and friends at the 1997 Museum Computer
Network Annual Conference in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, October 15-18.
Plans are afoot to provide an outstanding selection of pre-conference
workshops on Wednesday, October 15, followed by two-and-a-half days of
lively sessions focusing on the following themes: Developing Museum
Information Professionals; Distance Learning; Integrating Systems,
Information, Access and Intranets; Developing Standards; Copyright and
Managing Intellectual Property; Business Solutions for Museums; and What
the Future Looks Like. Two interactive forums will be conducted on topics
of
immediate concern to cultural heritage institutions: Data Standards
Initiatives and Projects; and Intellectual Property Rights. The vendors you
need to talk with will be present at the Exhibit Hall throughout the
duration of the conference. The ever-popular Silent Auction will feature
lively
bidding wars on Thursday evening, October 17, and The Saint Louis Art
Museum will host an evening reception on Friday, October 18. Round out your
stay in St. Louis with a post-conference tour of the Missouri Botanical
Gardens.
