This posting is on behalf of a friend:
For sale 1816 flinlock musket converted to percussion. Marked with eagle
motif and name (L.Pomeroy) and date of conversion (1839).  It is a late
specimen from the Pittsfield, Mass. workshop of Pomeroy who was under a
federal contract.  The piece has a documented family history of use in the
Mexican-American war by a soldier from Vicksburg, Miss.  It is in good
