A number of heritage institutions are required either by law or policy to
provide equal services in more than one language. All Canadian national
museums, for example, fall into this category, as Canada has two official
languages, English and French.

If you are in a similar position, you may wish to evaluate the provision of
multilingual services to your visitors.

If so, you may be interested in an evaluation recently completed in the
Canadian Museum of Civilization and the Canadian War Museum on visitor services
in both official languages.
