The Children's Museum at the Canadian Museum of Civilization doesn't allow
children in without an adult to supervise them - and, since they are now
charging for admission for all but the very youngest, this is somewhat easier
to enforce. We get a great many children at the Canadian War Museum, but they
all seem to be accompanied.

You might want to talk to the museums that are in close proximity to casinos,
such as the Museum of Victoria. I know that there have been a number of
problems in Melbourne with parents leaving their children in cars while they
were in the casino, and the children having to be rescued by police, etc., but
I don't know if it's caused a problem for the museum. Maybe Tim Bosher or one
of me other mates on the list could comment.

Kevin Fewster, director of the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney,
told me that they were getting (spring [yours] 95) a significant increase in
unaccompanied children coming to the museum, but weren't sure if this was due
to the casino. It might simply have been their interesting boats or computer
displays, or the Endeavour replica which was docked there at the time, or
perhaps just their proximity to Darlington Harbour, which I'm sure attracts a
lot of teenagers.
