We are about to open a 100 year old time capsule. The time capsule is
glass with a screw on lid. If any one has experience in opening time
capsules could you forward some hints?

Also - the time  capsule is to be reburied and an additional time
capsule placed beside it. Current advice is to put the contents into
single conservation plastic bags, then put inside a PVC tube (eg
water pipe tube) and seal both ends. Is this a good idea or not????
