The Occasional Papers of the MDI is seeking original, unpublished
electronic manuscripts under the general topic of  "You Can’t Get There
from Here".

Papers addressing any issues related to the general topic, based on any
conceptual framework and any methodological approach, are welcome,
though we are interested in approaches that include human and social
aspects of the topic and are not exclusively technical or technological
in content.  Examples might include critical, discourse analytic, or
content analytic studies; historical accounts; considerations of
theoretical, political, or economic issues; user surveys; analyses of
policies about access and use; reviews of the literature; and so on.
Book reviews are solicited – contact the editors with your suggestions.
International perspectives are encouraged.  The major criterion is that
the papers should make a significant contribution to our understanding
of the nature, roles, effects, or functions of the topic.

Papers will be reviewed anonymously.

Deadline for Submission:        30 June 1997

Anticipated publication date:   30 November 1997
