There are some very nice people affiliated with the brick and clay
trades.  The Brick Institute of America is located in the Virginia
suburbs of the District of Columbia.  Also, going through the union
(which I believe is the Teamsters, but any mason can tell you for
sure) can be a rewarding exercise.  The brick people generally know
where the best resources are, and sometimes they have a library.
