Robert Longo showed a series of large gun drawings at Metro Pictures in
New York a few years ago. And if you extend the theme to artists who
work with guns both William Burroughs and Niki de Saint Phalle have made
paintings using guns.

Chris Burden, who had himself shot in the arm in the 'sixties, has been
using guns in recent work. He had a show of police uniforms and guns at
the Gagosian Gallery in New York last year. He's from LA which I guess
is still in a western state.
