Don't these schools have to play in some time of "art history" playoff to
determine #1 rankings? Or, is this just a pre-season poll?

I don't mean to demean to your search, I know how important this decision
is--but rankings??? Different people thrive in different arenas. One
person's Harvard is another's tech school. You will thrive in an academic
environment best suited for your needs. There comes a point when there is
not a hell of a lot of difference between these supposedly "ranked" schools.
Your going to get a job based on you--not where your transcripts come from.

Best wishes for your success and I hope you make a decison based on your
needs and not someone else's ranking system.
