Actually, many libraries and archives have found the electrical systems too
unreliable.  The down time is too costly.  This is especially critical in
the private sector, where time IS money.  The hand-operated systems are
more convenient in the long run.  You'll find more libraries opting for the
manual systems.  They work during power failures.
