There's no formal "museum writers" group that I know of, but a number of
us do know each other personally (because we've worked together at places
like the Monterey Bay Aquarium) or professionally (We meet at conferences
like AAM and ASTC, or we know each others' work.) Whenever I travel and
read great museum labels, I always try to find out who wrote them, and
send some fan mail if I can. (Writers rarely get fan mail!!)

Stuart, it would be good to know what sorts of issues and ideas your
writer/novelist friend is interested in exploring. I'm sure that if you
start a "thread," you'll flush some writers out of the bushes.

Cheers,
