The University of Washington has an interdisciplinary program in Museology
which means you can "create" your own area of interest. (there are students
there in art history, exhibit design, living collections and archaeology for
example) Sounds like you might be able to combine a few topics like a library
sciences course in research and a course in historical research to come up
with something close to what you want. Contact Terry Duffey at the
University of Washington for more info. her email

Good luck, Paula (UW Museology Grad student)
