For an interesting take on the question of whether objects can have unusual po
wers affecting everyday life, there is an excellent book called FRIST LIGHT.  I
t was written by a woman who was the registrar for an exhibit called Te Maori (
sp?) and featuring sacred ancestor figures from New Zealand.
