The following is available and I am passing it along as information
for institutions in the SF Bay Area who might have interested
patrons, etc.

History in Your Attic: Preserving Family Photographs
Date: Saturday, March 9, 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Tuition: $75 Members, $115 Non-members,

Bring your collection of family pictures and learn how to preserve
the photographs of your ancestors for generations to come in this
half-day seminar. Instructors will offer tips for preserving vintage
family photos, and will review images brought in by participants to
identify various early photographic processes. An overview of
photographic preservation practices, including proper storage
methods, will be presented by Katherine C. Ware from the Department
of Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum, and Friends of
Photography's Deborah Klochko, Deputy Director for Public Programs,
will present a slide lecture tracing the history of photographic
processes from the 19th century to the present. Digital restoration
techniques using computer technology will be discussed by Digital
Pond staff.
