Since our museum is housed in a train station which happens to be an art deco
masterpiece, the rotunda and adjoining spaces are frequently rented out for
corporate meetings, events, proms, weddings, etc. However, our exhibits
occasionally get tapped for more intimate events--like the guy who rented
the cavern exhibit so he could propose to his girlfriend. The cavern has also
been the site for a couple of surprise parties and there was the family who
rented out the Children's Discovery Center for their child's birthday party.
In each case, the requests came from visitors who'd been so impressed with
the exhibits that they wanted it for a special occasion. So we do have a
powerful impact on some of our visitors. And yes, the Cavern exhibit is
usually the venue of choice. You're invited to visit and find out why!
